Following yesterday's match, Chelsea emerged winners of their pre-season match against Ac Milan. Maresca’s Men Finish Preseason in Style: 4-1 Win Over Milan after defeating them four goals to one at Stamford Bridge yesterday evening. Chelsea scored two goals early with an own goal by Milan’s defender Andrei Coubis, which happened just five minutes in. Jao Pedro stabilized the game with a strong header goal at the 8th minute of the game.
Milan were forced to play ten men less after Coubis received a red card for a foul on Jao Pedro in the eighteenth minute of the first half. Liam Dilap was declared man of the match after dominating the game in the second half by scoring two goals that sealed their win.

According to Sky Sport, Reece James, Chelsea Captain, gave out a speech during his interview after the game. He said: “It is always a sign when you lift a trophy, we finished last season really strong with two trophies… Everyone is excited.”
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca was delighted with Chelsea's performance. He said,”I think the performance was very good until the red card. We started the way we wanted- intense and with a high tempo on and off the ball. The red card changed the game a little bit but it is normal as Ac Milan started pre-season 40 days ago and this was their sixth friendly.”
